Emperors Mind have now closed, although we are still proud of the website that we built for them.
Once Newfangled had built the client portal for Emperors Mind, we were asked to build an online store for their clients.
Most if not all of Emperors Minds clients are in the creative industry. Consequently most are on an Adobe licensing plan. Prices of Adobe products needed to reflect the clients license plan and level within that plan. As Adobe has multiple discount plans, and there are different levels within each plan1 each requiring a different product code2 you can see how this potentially becomes a headache.
The store was very well received by Emperors Minds clients, as we were able to produce a tool which give them the exact price for them. Staff at Emperors Mind, also found the store incredibly helpful, as they didn’t have to calculate which program and level their client was on, as the website simply told them.
1 Every 6 months the level changes depending on when you took out the plan.
2 Consequently Adobe has around 30,000 product codes.
